  • Concept: 4.5

The familiar point and click adventure style with Clementine in the lead. The ability to import save files from Season 1 to affect the plot makes a huge difference for this style of story-driven game

  • Gameplay: 3.5

Not a lot new here, and the emphasis seems to have shifted even further toward more story and less interactive gameplay. The puzzles are simple but interesting enough as segue between plot points

  • Graphics: 4

The cell-shaded look is perfect for The Walking Dead. There are a few graphical quibbles but the overall aesthetic is fantastic

  • Plot: 4.5

This is a setup piece, and it doesn't do much to advance an overall plot. What it does do effectively is flesh out the character of Clementine who was more of a side character in the first season

  • Sound: 5

The voice acting and sound design are top notch. With a game that focuses on story and characters first and foremost, this is a crucial part of a believable world. Everything is subtle but tonally perfect

Overall: 4
