  • Concept: 2.5

Broken Age is a throwback to a simpler time in gaming. Unfortunately, it may have stayed a little too simple

  • Gameplay: 2.5

The world is fun to explore, but overly simple puzzles and fruitless conversations are not the step forward I was hoping for in adventure gameplay design

  • Graphics: 3

Static backgrounds and lack of interactivity hinder some beautiful animations and character designs

  • Plot: 3

It is an incomplete story, and it feel that way. The sometimes funny, sometimes heartfelt dialogue and plights of the two main characters is good enough to keep you interested

  • Sound: 3.5

The voice acting is top notch and the music is worthy of a separate soundtrack purchase. The voice actors simply aren't given enough material in many cases

Overall: 2.5
