Batman returns to consoles
It's another Arkham game. As interesting as it was to see Gotham before a huge part of it became basically a large prison, it isn't the greatest of ideas ever.
The controls are the same as before, but with less polish in their execution, While the story is well-done, the nature of playing through the story is a little bit less enjoyable than the previous installments due to repeated freezing issues and mis-timing during other parts of game play. Moreover, a lot of the side missions feel like re-treads of things that we've already seen in the past.
The whole of the game looks great, but whoever designed this version of Gotham failed to really look in to the map of Arkham City, beyond the placement of Wonder Tower.
As an idea for a Batman: Arkham prequel, this truly shines. The story is spot on, and were this put in to a Batman graphic novel instead of a game, I would definitely get it.
