King.com Files Complaint Against Stoic For Use Of The Word “Saga” In The Banner Saga

the-banner-saga-walkthrough

We know that King.com has trademarked the word “candy” and has effectively waged war against the app store. Now the company has demanded satisfaction from Stoic LLC for their use of the word “saga” in the studio’s crowdfunded game, The Banner Saga.

The details of the notice of opposition are “priority and likelihood of confusion“. The reality of the situation is that Stoic isn’t going to have the money to duke it out with King if a lengthy legal battle is on the horizon. We’ll reach out to Stoic for some comment on this situation. The law offices of Merchant and Gould just so happen to be in our stomping grounds, so we may reach out to King’s “council” **laughs hysterically** for more information.
