Sledgehammer Games Are Officially Working On An Upcoming Call Of Duty, Possibly Leading Development

Here’s the deal. We know that Sledgehammer Games worked on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, but the studio has now posted a slew of new positions on Linkedin in the last 24 hours. One of which outright mentions that they are working on Call of Duty.

The listing is for a Multiplayer Level Designer. In the job description is as follows,

“Sledgehammer Games is looking for a talented Multiplayer Level Designer to create cutting edge level designs for our Call of Duty project.  We’re looking for top talent with strong experience in level design for AAA titles.  If you’re interested in jumping in and working on a new project with some of the most talented developers in the industry, apply today!”

We’ve heard brief rumblings about Sledgehammer’s involvement in the next game in the series, but it sounds like they won’t be simply assisting this time around. The verbiage is more geared to the development studio that’s spearheading the next Call of Duty.
