Shu Yoshida Could Be Teasing PS4 VR At Sony’s CES 2014 Presser
Back in December, Scott Lowe of IGN was reminiscing about what he thought was the best thing to come out of CES 2011; an enormous VR headset. From there a notable Sony executive, Shuhei Yoshida decided to reply to the Tweet with a very vague tease, “We’ll see you on news sites when they post a photo of journalists taking photos of a newly announced product at CES 2014.”
This could really mean anything, but here’s why we think his statement has to do with a Sony VR headset. First, there were rumors that Sony would reveal a VR headset back at TGS 2013, but that never came to fruition. Secondly, Yoshida decided to interject in a Tweet that wasn’t addressed to him that mentioned VR. And finally, companies typically reveal new technology at CES, so we could be on the cusp of a PS4 VR headset reveal this evening.
What do you think? Will Sony showcase a new VR/AR headset tonight? Would PS4 owners be in the market for such a device?
