Double Fine Has Reacquired Stacking And Costume Quest

When THQ went belly up Nordic Games acquired a good deal of intellectual property at the THQ Legacy auction. Some of the more notable IPs Nordic purchased that day were Darksiders, Red Faction, and the Double Fine developed Psychonauts, Stacking and Costume Quest.
It was revealed today that Tim Schafer and Double Fine have reacquired the rights for two of their prized IPs; Costume Quest and Stacking. Schafer, CEO of Double Fine had this to say,
“I am pleased that we have regained full control over Costume Quest and Stacking, following a daring and top-secret midnight raid on the Nordic Games headquarters in Vienna,”
Additionally (and possibly part of the deal) it was announced that Double Fine would be partnering with Nordic for retail releases of the two aforementioned titles and Psychonauts on PC and Mac in North America and Europe during the first half of 2014.
