Major Nelson is back with another video detailing some of the revamped Xbox One features. This time he’s talking about matchmaking, known as Smart Match and the new friends list. As far as the friends list goes, we’ll have all the same components we’re currently using, as well as a host of new features like following people.

When you follow someone you’ll receive notifications of when they upload new videos. Once followed, if the person follows you back, you’ll then be considered friends. The favorites list will give you easier access to the core group of friends you play with on Xbox Live. Your activity feed can now be snapped to the side of your play screen PiP style. This is ideal for when you’re waiting on a certain friend to get online, or for your group to boot a certain game.
