Rockstar Warns Xbox 360 Gamers Against Installing Both GTA V Discs
Some Xbox 360 gamers make a habit of installing new games to their HDD to bolster the performance of their games. Just make sure you don’t continue that practice with Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar has said installing the “play” disc in addition to the disc marked “install” could cause performance issues.
R* broke the news via Twitter, in response to several customer inquiries. The reply read, “An 8GB install is required. For optimal performance, we recommend not installing the play disc.” There hasn’t been any actual explanation as to why installing both discs would cause issues, but I think it’s safe to say you should listen to R*.
As for now, this issue is only relevant to 360 owners. The PlayStation 3 edition of GTA V shipped with a single disc due to the PS3 utilizing Blu-Ray disc drives.
