Two New Flavors Of The DualShock 4 Controller Incoming

Both Sony and Microsoft‘s next gen controllers are precise, ergonomic, and visually appealing, but the PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 controller has seen the most substantial updates. I’m a big fan of both current gen controllers, and the DualShock 3 is close to perfect, albeit a bit small.

Sony’s DualShock 4 is a bit larger, especially where the grips are concerned. The enlarged real estate combined with a newly designed grip surface will make the DualShock 4 easier for large handed gamers to hold. Concave analog sticks and the retention of the phenomenal d-Pad we’ve known and loved for years make us seriously excited to use the DualShock 4 as one of our dedicated gamepads.

Sony has now promised two color variants for the DualShock 4 before year’s end. Magma Red and Wave Blue selections are scheduled to arrive before the end of 2013.
