Microsoft Doesnt Have A Gamescom 2013 Press Conference After All

The host of GTTV, Geoff Keighley, has taken to Twitter to answer a few questions regarding Gamescom 2013. One interesting nugget of truth he dropped on fans was the fact that Microsoft won’t be holding a press conference at this year’s Gamescom in Germany.

Prior to this bit of information it was widely believed that Microsoft would hold a half hour presser. Rumors pointed to the conference not receiving the live-stream treatment, but it now appears that the Xbox One will be constrained to a closed door press meeting and some floor time for attendees.

Is Microsoft’s Gamescom presser absence tied to the fact that it will be missing several territories in Europe when it launches this holiday season? That fact was just announced as of last week, so the no-show at Gamescom may be in direct correlation. There hasn’t been any official statement from Microsoft, but Keighley anticipated something coming very soon from the Redmond, WA based company.
