Deep Silver To Assist inXile With Wasteland 2 Distribution

inXile along with Double Fine managed to make Kickstarter a viable option for larger indie studios to fund their respective games. Now it’s been confirmed that Deep Silver (Saints Row, Metro: Last Light) will be stepping into the Wasteland to assist inXile with it’s retail distribution, Kickstarter reward fulfillment, and QA testing for international releases of Wasteland 2.

This agreement will allow inXile to do focus on development and let Deep Silver, an international publisher, to manage the distribution of the finished product. Seems to make perfect sense to us. By and large this will help avoid speed bumps in the distribution process and let the team at inXile concentrate on their end of the bargain. Creative control will remain with Brian Fargo and company, so the product itself won’t be compromised in any way by this arrangement.

This is symbiosis at it’s best. Both entities will deliver on their primary competency, and everyone will win in the end.
