GTA V Will Have Installation Requirements On Xbox 360 And Playstation 3
Rockstar took to their news wire to post a new asked & answered session for Grand Theft Auto 5. Fans asked questions pertaining to multiplayer, character customization, whether we’ll see some gameplay soon, as well as a great question about how many discs GTA V will inhabit on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
Rockstar provided a very detailed answers for every question they covered, but the one that really caught out eye was in reference to the number of discs that will ship and how our under powered current gen consoles will handle the huge amount of GTA V content. Both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 will require content installs. As you may have guessed the Xbox 360 version will ship on two discs, but R* has you covered. Disc one will only be used for the one time, mandatory install. After that disc 2 will be used to play the game. The PS3 version of the game will ship on a single disc due to the larger capacity of the Blu-Ray disc. The content install will happen as soon as you fire up GTA V for the first time.
The install itself is reportedly around 8GB and you’ll be able to dive into Los Santos. It was also reiterated that there won’t be additional delays and to expect GTA V on September 17th. You can check out the full Q&A here.
