Trailer Tuesday #10 (Special Super-Sized Edition!)
You might have noticed that we didn’t have a Trailer Tuesday last week and that’s because unfortunately, there just weren’t enough trailers to warrant an article. Well, this past week has pretty much been the opposite of the week before because I swear to God that a million trailers have been released in the past week. So, with that comes a super-sized edition of Trailer Tuesday. Enjoy.
Ender’s Game – Starring Asa Butterfield (Hugo), Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones franchise) and Abigail Breslin (Zombieland) and directed by Gavin Hood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), the film opens on November 1, 2013.
The Butler – To list all or even a lot of the cast would take too much time so I’ll just say that Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland) is obviously the lead and the film is directed by Lee Daniels (Precious). It opens in theaters on August 16, 2013.
Captain Phillips – Based on the true story of the first time in 200 years that a US cargo ship had been hijacked (by Somali pirates), the film stars Tom Hanks (Forrest Gump) and was directed by Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Ultimatum), the film opens on October 11, 2013.
Inside Llewyn Davis – Starring Oscar Isaac (Drive), Carey Mulligan (Drive) and Justin Timberlake (The Social Network) and written/directed by the Coen Brothers (No Country for Old Men), the film opens in theaters on December 6, 2013.
Gravity – Starring Sandra Bullock (Speed) and George Clooney (Ocean‘s trilogy) and directed by Alfonso Cuaron (Children of Men), the film opens in theaters on October 4, 2013.
August: Osage County – Much like The Butler, if I tried to list all of the cast in this film, we’d be here for hours so I’ll just say the notable names of Julia Roberts (Closer) and Meryl Streep (The Devil Wears Prada), the film opens in theaters on November 8, 2013.
The World’s End – Starring Simon Pegg (Star Trek 2009) and Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead), the film is their final entry in the Blood and Ice Cream trilogy with director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead). It opens in theaters on August 23, 2013.
Fruitvale Station – Starring Michael B. Jordan (Chronicle) and Octavia Spencer (The Help), the Sundance hit opens in theaters on July 12, 2013.
