Microsoft Creative Director Adam Orth Has Departed Microsoft Studios
In the wake of his controversial Twitter comments, Adam Orth has departed Microsoft Studios. The “always on” internet connection rumors have been a point of focus for many gamers leading up to the next Xbox reveal, and Orth’s utter disdain for consumer worries prompted Microsoft to publish this apology to their customers:
“We apologize for the inappropriate comments made by an employee on Twitter yesterday. This person is not a spokesperson for Microsoft, and his personal views do not reflect the customer centric approach we take to our products or how we would communicate directly with our loyal consumers. We are very sorry if this offended anyone, however we have not made any announcements about our product roadmap, and have no further comment on this matter.”
There’s no confirmation as of yet if Orth’s departure was voluntary, or forced. Unfortunately for Microsoft the damage may already be done. We’re still anticipating a May 21st reveal as reported by WhatTheTech. We’ll keep yo up to date on further developments as they occur.
