Yoichi Wada Resigns as Square Enix CEO and President
After a reported 10 Billion Yen loss Yoichi Wada has stepped down from his position as President and CEO at Square Enix. According to the to 4Gamer, and the documents found here Wada will be replaced by Square’s Yosuke Matsuda who serve as their Representative Director/CFO .
With the recent success of Tomb Raider, Square Enix is in a great position with it’s Western efforts. So here’s hoping that the new CEO continues to push for further development of console titles, and less focus on iOS releases.
We wish Yoichi Wada the very best in his future endeavors.
