Telltale Games Targets Fall 2013 For The Walking Dead Season 2
It’s no secret that here at iGR we’re big fans of The Walking Dead. Namely Telltale Games’ rendition of the black and white struggle to retain humanity in a harsh new world. Telltale created something special with The Walking Dead Season 1. It created a new benchmark for storytelling in games, and the minimal price tag made it all the more appealing.
In a statement originally made to Game Informer, Telltale’s CEO Dan Connors clarified a misfire during an earlier interview about the upcoming second season of The Walking Dead. It originally sounded like we’d be waiting until Fall 2014 to fall back into the shoes of Clementine (This is speculation based on the ending of season one, nothings been confirmed). Connors made this statement to clear the confusion –
“The current estimated release window for Season Two of The Walking Dead is for fall of ‘this’ year (2013), and not ‘next’ year (2014) as has been reported after a recent interview. We apologize for any confusion and thank you and all of our fans for your continued excitement for Telltale’s series.”
Fantastic news indeed. I personally want Telltale to have all the time they need to meet the high expectations levied against them after such a sensational first outing with The Walking Dead.
