Ubisoft Montreal Harnesses New Engine for Watch Dogs
Ubisoft Montreal has created a new engine for Watch Dogs. This was achieved by means of piecing elements of many existing engines together to create a Frankenstein’s Monster like game engine.
Many gamer’s have had issues with Assassin’s Creed 3’s Anvil Engine after it’s subsequent launch, and were hoping for something new with Watch Dogs.
Watch Dogs‘ use of Assassin’s Creed 3 tech will most likely translate into the absurd amount of characters rendered on screen at once, and hopefully nothing more.
This realization was confirmed via tweet by Sebastian Viard (Ubisoft Montreal’s Art Technical Director)
